MoU Signing at New Delhi

A Centre of Excellence in Urban Transport has been established at IIT Madras by Ministry of Urban Development, GoI. An MoU to this effect has been signed between the Ministry and IIT Madras on June 21, 2010. The Centre is located in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras, and is coordinated by faculty from the Transportation Engineering Division.  The Centre consists of a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional research team from IIT Madras, Anna University-Chennai, NIT Tiruchirapalli, VIT University-Vellore, College of Engineering-Thiruvananthapuram, NIT Calicut, BMS College of Engineering-Bengaluru, and Osmania University-Hyderabad.
